Media Ethics

	Cindy Roberts - Journal excerpt:

Be sure to get a variety of perspectives before coming to a

conclusion when analyzing information or situations. It’s natural for

each of us to consider our own opinions or views as the right ones or the

commonsensical ones. If you dig a little deeper or think beyond what

appears to be obvious, you’ll often be amazed by the results. Emotions

are fantastic and critical to full enjoyment of life, but they have a

tendency to skew our reactions. Logic used in conjunction with a sound

and consistent mode of careful analysis can provide more effective tools

in our efforts toward critical thinking.
